Rotational Athletes with low back pain🌪️
It’s all too common to see a rotational athlete with low back discomfort.
This includes sports like golf and tennis.
This discomfort can arise when you exceed your tissues capacity via intensity, volume or frequency of training.
So what is typically a good short term entry point for these rotational athletes?
Training in the Sagittal and frontal planes……
Some examples of sagittal and frontal plane movements include deadlifts, squats, Copenhagen drops and lumbar extensions.
This shifts the focus away from rotation and strengthens the muscles that are potentially getting neglected through sport specific training.
We hope this provides some insight on our approach to getting rotational athletes back to their sport…. stronger and more confident than ever.
As always….
